“From Distinguished Service to Customer Service, LEAP’s Matthews Shines”

Jun. 19, 2014 – Lawrence Executive Alliance Professionals (LEAP), LLC, makes it no secret that the company’s award-winning service is attributed to the exceptional medical professionals it recruits and hires, and pharmacist Ebony Matthews is a true example of what excellence in healthcare staffing looks like. The 2013 Distinguished Service Award Winner is being recognized, yet again, but this time as a 2014 Customer Service Award Winner.

Nominated by the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, where she works as an inpatient pharmacist, Matthews has been tireless in her efforts to ensure that patients obtain the best care possible when receiving medications and treatment. Through thorough attention to detail and meaningful patient interactions, she has helped make critical and life-saving improvements to the hospital’s pharmaceutical processes and procedures.

Matthews has worked at Fort Belvoir as a LEAP employee for nearly three years. She played a vital role early on for LEAP in developing key programs and processes for its integrated pharmacy. As the first pharmacist chosen for this position, Matthews created and implemented training templates and systems to more easily transition new pharmacists into a variety of pharmaceutical roles. Matthews states, “I take pride in my position and work hard every day to improve myself professionally and the environment that I work in.”

LEAP’s award nomination process allows the clients and medical facilities that it works with to nominate the professionals staffed by the company to work alongside these clients. Dr. Clayton Lawrence, President and CEO of LEAP, feels that it is of the utmost importance to allow clients to voice their opinions of the medical staff he and his company recruit and hire in an effort to continue improving the standards by which LEAP operates.
